Project Manager, New Tax Information System Project – Vacancy # 27/2020

We are currently in the midst of an exciting journey which will make tax simpler, more certain and easier to manage for most if not all Fijians. 

We are looking for a suitable candidate for Project Manager, New Tax Information System Project (NTIS) Position to be based at our Suva Office. To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Manage implementation of NTIS project milestones.
  • Provide regular progress and advisory reports to the project governance group that highlight performance, risks, costs, etc.
  • Work with the vendor to regularly review and keep project plans updated.
  • Introduce techniques to mitigate project control and scope change risks.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure risks are treated in a timely manner.
  • Manage the project budget and provide regular budget expenditure reports.
  • Collaborate with key teams/resources who are responsible for implementing change management activities.
  • Regularly review the stakeholder engagement plan and implement new strategies as needed, to increase engagement level.
  • Champion high standards of Health, Safety and Wellness.
  • Ensure compliance to relevant Occupational, Health and Safety (OHS) obligations and that relevant policies are understood, followed and implemented by the project team.

 

The successful candidate should have the following requirements:

  • Valid professional certificate from the project management institute (PMI) or similar internationally recognized body.
  • At least 10 years’ experience managing information system/business improvement projects of a similar scale and complexity.
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems and/or large enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated capability in critical thinking and exercising good judgement.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and people leadership skills.

An attractive salary package will be offered to the successful candidate to commensurate with qualification and experience.

 

This position is for a fixed term of 18 months and is subject for extension depending on the completion of this project.
