Inspection of Containerized Goods
Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) wishes to advise all stakeholders, Traders and Customs House Agents to take note of this Circular.
All examination of the goods at Owner’s/ Importers premises will require a C1 (Special Attendance) number to be generated through the ASYCUDA system and submitted to the Customs Inspection Officer at the respective Port of clearance to create the Container Pass and make an appointment for inspection.
All inspections should be conducted within two days from the date of the generation of the Container Pass and proper inspection appointment. Any request for an extension should be formally written to the Revenue Manager at the respective Port of clearance.
FRCS wishes to emphasize that without the proper C1 number, Inspection booking will not be facilitated for physical examination of goods.
Importers, Exporters, Customs Agents and all stakeholders are required to ensure that they have generated the C1 number prior to requesting for an inspection appointment.
Any enquiries or clarifications on the above requirements are to be directed to the respective Revenue Managers:
