INCOMPLETE TAX RETURNS
The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) wishes to remind ALL Taxpayers, Tax Agents and Accountants to thoroughly check the currency and accuracy of all information declared on the tax returns and fill in all appropriate lines while filing Tax Returns. We continue to receive incomplete inaccurate, non-current information or unsigned returns.
Some of the areas of concerns are
– Incorrect TIN provided which does not match FRCS company/individual records
– Missing details such as phone contacts, email and postal addresses, bank account details, FNPF number details, dates of birth for individuals, residency status, residential/business location address and taxpayer signatures;
– Interest, dividend, p41, contract slips and financial statements attached but relevant return lines or data fields not filled up.
– Declaration not signed.
We wish to advise all our customers that all returns that will now be brought in for lodgement will first be vetted at the Customer Service and Cashier counters before they are accepted and lodged in FRCS IT system. The same will apply to ALL lodgements received through mail system.
FRCS will not accept incomplete forms.
