Update & Win Promotion Winners
Three (3) taxpayers were today rewarded for updating their information with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service.
As part of the Helping Fiji Grow Campaign, the tax office has introduced an update and win initiative for $1000 and a Lap top bundle with Telecom Fiji which taxpayers can go into the draw to win simply by competing the information update form which is available at any Revenue and Customs and Telecom Offices Fiji Wide.
The main aim of this Campaign is to;
– assist with Data Cleansing by providing an incentive for customers to update their information with the tax office
– introduce the New Tax Information System (NTIS) and the services that will be available online
Today’s winners are Setareki Reade of Tailevu, Bipin Patel of Ba who each won $1000 and Nasoni Joshua Tuisinu from Nabua who won a won a Laptop bundle courtesy of Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL).
“We are very pleased to be giving away these prizes which taxpayers are receiving as a reward for complying and updating their taxpayer information,” Revenue and Customs Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Visvanath Das said.
Telecom Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Charles Goundar echoed similar sentiments saying that as a 100% owned Fiji Company Telecom is pleased to partner with Revenue and Customs for this initiative.
“As a company, we know how important it is to have an updated information database for customers hence Telecom is proud to support FRCS with this promotion in their effort to update taxpayer’s information,” said Goundar. “An updated database can only mean a company is able to serve their customers better,” Goundar further added.
“The Update and Win initiatives are to encourage taxpayers to update their information ahead of the roll out of the New Tax Information System (NTIS) in August,” Mr. Das said.
“This initiative is undertaken in line with our strategy to modernize processes and systems and make it easy for our customers to access their information and interact with us. The implementation of the new tax information system will make this a reality,” he added.
Mr. Das said Revenue and Customs has geared up to roll out the phase 1 of the new system on 1st August, 2019.
“Before we go live, it is important that we verify your information details that is currently captured in our system,” he said.
Mr. Das is urging members of the public to fill in the Information Update and submit to the nearest tax office or update information through MyInfo Portal on the FRCS website.
“Few easy simple steps of updating your information will put you into the draw to win attractive prizes. We encourage taxpayers to update your information and be part of our transformation journey to modernize the tax system and Help Fiji Grow,” he said.
