The Private Sector Engagement Conference (PSEC)
Fiji to host PSEC
The Private Sector Engagement Conference (PSEC) is a biennial event hosted by the Vice-Chair WCO Asia/Pacific region. This Year, Fiji will play host in its capacity as the current Vice-Chair WCO Asia/Pacific. The Conference will be held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa on the 14th of May 2018.
With the theme: “Border Management Solutions: the Way forward”, this one-day Conference will highlight the importance of different types of solutions and best practices which can have beneficial application to member countries for the management and security of their borders.
It is envisioned that the Conference will bring together the Customs and Private Sector communities within and from outside the region, to discuss current and emerging issues affecting the region. This will also serve as a platform to enhance Customs to Customs (C2C) and Customs to Business (C2B) relationships.
There will be workshops and plenary sessions running parallel to each other with discussions focusing around the three (3) thematically broad areas of; Data Analysis, Trade Facilitation and Border Protection. The distinguished Speakers from the industry and the private Sector will deliver from their own personal and professional experience, the issues and solutions intrinsically linked to the themes. It is hoped that delegates and workshops participants be active discussants in the various organized sessions that they’ve chosen to attend.
The Speaking sessions will see the likes of Mr. Michael McQueen, the internationally renowned futuristic speaker. He will be joined by a host of other eminent speakers from the industry and the Private Sector.
